Expanding a charity’s international understanding

The Need

Our client who is an international environmental charity sought to understand attitudes towards multiple facets of the environment, focusing in particular upon oceans and marine eco-systems. Their key objective was to determine the extent to which environmental safe zones or ‘sanctuaries’ are supported, and how this may differ on a country-by-country basis.

Our Approach

Using a 15 minute online survey, we interviewed over 7,500 nationally representative participants across 8 nations. This approach provided us with a holistic understanding of global stances on environmental protection, shedding light upon which countries were most likely to take action to combat environmental degradation.

The Outcome

Our insights enabled our client to develop an environmental index for each country, which highlighted their overall environmental perceptions and determined where oceans and marine eco-systems ranked in terms of importance compared to other facets.
