UK: Voting intention – 24-26th February 2021

Conservative ‘vaccine bounce continues with lead expanding to 7 points

The Conservatives’ poll lead has expanded again, from 3 points in January to 5 points in our last poll and to 7 points now.

As with our last poll, the Conservatives have gained a point while Labour have lost one, expanding the government’s voting intention lead by 2 points. While the week-to-week trend may be within the margin of error, the consistent direction of travel since January when Labour last held a lead, suggests that the Conservatives have genuinely pulled ahead rather than the two parties simply exchanging leads inside the margin of error as they did for much of the autumn and winter.

The Lib Dems have gained two points to pull more clearly ahead of the Greens although margin of error and sample variation suggests that the struggle for third place (SNP aside) is still a live one.
