Political Polling 30th June 2017

Nearly two fifths of voters (37%) believe that Jeremy Corbyn is now ready to be Prime Minister.

Given the demographics of Labour voters in general, as well as Corbyn?s election campaign placing great emphasis upon younger voters, it is perhaps unsurprising that over half (52%) of those aged 18-34 feel that Corbyn is ready to lead the country. It is interesting to note, however, that 10% of Labour voters do not think that Corbyn is ready.

73% of Labour voters stated that they voted the way they did because they wanted a Labour government, while 22% voted tactically to try and prevent a Conservative government.

On the flip side, a similar proportion of Conservative voters (69%) voted for the Tories because they wanted a Conservative government, while 23% voted tactically against Labour.
