Brand gives Labour’s social media campaign a boost

Russell Brand’s last minute endorsement of Labour has seen the number of social media mentions of “vote Labour” skyrocket in the final week of the campaign although these cannot all be counted as positive for Ed Miliband’s party.

But even without Brand’s last minute intervention in the campaign, the Conservatives’ social media campaign has had a lower presence throughout April, even falling behind UKIP.
