We asked a nationally representative sample of 2,003 UK adults who they thought would make a better Prime Minister, Ed or David Miliband. Twice as many people chose David Miliband compared to the current Labour leader, Ed.
34% chose David Miliband while 15% chose Ed, although a sizable proportion, 50%, said ?don?t know?.
Digging a little deeper…
When we asked who would make a better Chancellor of the Exchequer out of Ed Balls and David Miliband, 18% said Ed Balls while 31% chose David Miliband.
However, just 19% said that they would be more likely to vote Labour in the next election if David Miliband had become Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer instead of standing down from the shadow cabinet after losing the Labour leadership to his brother.
Opinium Research carried out an online survey of 2,003 UK adults aged 18+ from 28 January to 2 March 2013. Results have been weighted to nationally representative criteria.
