Opinium x AmEx: shopping habits and AI tools

New insights from Opinium and AmEx reveal that almost a third (29%) of people plan to use or would use AI tools and assistants when they shop this year.
An even greater proportion (37%) of younger shoppers (18-34 year olds) intended to use AI in their online shopping.
One in five people found AI useful when looking for new experiences including activities, events and travel.
Six in 10 (61%) people had chosen to spend with businesses with loyalty programmes and planned to continue spending with them, highlighting the importance of rewards to driving repeat custom.
