The new marketing team at specialist intellectual property law firm Mathys & Squire needed a substantive platform to talk to both current and prospective clients. The firm wanted to demonstrate its expertise in understand the challenges faced by general counsels in some of the world’s largest companies and their views on the future.

Opinium conducted 100 telephone interviews with general counsels or senior legal decision-makers in some of the largest companies across the globe. Participants were sourced from Mathys & Squire clients and external lists, making it vitally important that the reputation of the firm was upheld and enhanced throughout the fieldwork process.

The Outcome

Mathys & Squire’s trends in IP litigation report was one of the first comprehensive overviews of the changing IP law landscape. The report was successful in positioning Mathys & Squire as trusted experts, as well as providing an invaluable tool for partners to reach out to clients and prospects about the new challenges ahead.
